About

I grew up in a small midwestern town in Illinois, where I was always the quiet shy girl who loved writing, staying up reading late at night (and later, coincidentally, always not want to wake up in the morning), her flower garden, and simply enjoying the nature and fresh air of rural Illinois.

When I started college at 18 I took my first psychology class and became fascinated with the idea of figuring out what makes people tick.  This followed with a series of many… many psychology and self-help related books.  When I transferred to my university I started off as a business major, thinking and believing that this will be the “best route” to go to get a job.  During my first year there I found myself in a relationship, which then resulted in a rather complicated break up.  Luckily, I had a great group of girl friends for support and one of those friends happened to read tarot.  Needless to say, I was very intrigued and wanted to learn more.  She gave me a reading and I just wanted to “play” with them so she let me borrow them for a while.  Eventually I bought my own deck a while later so I could experiment and learn on my own.

About mid-way through finishing my degree I discovered how much I hated business and didn’t want to work in that field no matter how much money I could get paid, so I switched to education.  I also got into this whole “trying to find spirituality” trend in college as well where I started to attend non-denominational Christian churches and bible studies in hopes that I’d feel more “connected”.  Though I did certainly find these experiences to be a good “release” at times and emotionally nourishing, I still couldn’t help but feel like something was missing.

Eventually I did my student teaching semester at the high school level and graduated — 5 and a half years later but it was worth it and needed.  I was then on the quest to find a teaching job.  Shouldn’t be too difficult right?  The trouble was that I was at a bit conflicted.  The people around me weren’t quite so “optimistic” in me finding a job because of the current economy.  Not only that, but I felt expected to simply just settled down, find a boyfriend to marry, and stay living in Illinois.  Despite all this outer resistance, my heart kept screaming “That is the path to stagnancy!  Get out now!”  I watched people in their day to day lives and kept feeling this inner sense of “Do they really know how others live?  Do they really bother to look and see how they limit themselves?”

So what did I do?  I moved to Korea.  And no, it wasn’t just randomly a whim — I left to teach English as a Second Language (ESL) by myself without knowing anybody in the city I was going to beforehand.  Heck, I didn’t even study any Korean.  After about a month being here, I found myself in another relationship.  To make a long story short, it was a lot of ups and downs in a short period of time and caused a lot of inner soul-searching.  When that ended, I found myself wrapped up in psycho-spiritual related books like “The Power of Now”, “Creative Visualization”, “Discovering Your Psychic Type”, and books on Jungian theory.  I even took part in Jungian dream analysis for a few months, which I must say was very enlightening.

Needless to say, the mixture of all these experiences and these books certainly helped me to open my eyes even more to the messages beyond the tarot.  And so, here I still am in Korea and I have now started this blog and am offering tarot readings, short dream interpretations, and numerology to continue to learn, grow, and, of course, help others from what I’ve learned.

After my time in Korea, I’m hoping to continue with further study in transpersoonal psychology and holistic studies.

My approach in readings:

I am a Capricorn with moon sign in Pisces and my numerology Ruling Number is 11 (that of a spiritual counselor or personal growth teacher).  In my readings I tend to be serious in my approach and always say what you need to hear, but not always what you want to  hear.   I am also very empathetic, intuitive, and honest.  I will never give a concrete answer to something if the cards seem to show that it is not concrete yet.  My readings are focused with the idea of growth and building greater self-awareness so even whether I can or can’t give you a clear answer, I will always provide advice to give you direction as to what you should currently be focused on inwardly.  I also love to learn, so I’m eager to try new or different methods.

However, if you’re interested in the Hermetic Kabalistic approach to the Tarot, that the 22 Major Arcana represent the 22 concepts that are critical to the creation of reality, and that the 22 concepts represent a path to communion with Higher Self, we would love to send you an invitation to check out our private blog, Covina Hermiticia. Glad to have met you! –Aggie

      • That sounds amazing! I’ve been really attracted into diving into the full meanings of each of the Major Arcana. I’ve been diving into a lot of Jungian psychological meanings behind them as well as more spiritual meanings. So that sounds exactly like something I’d love to read more about!! What is the link?
